Pioneer Day

I was really excited to go hiking on the 24th to celebrate the holiday. We were all set to go up to Stewart Falls when we found out we could get an appointment to go look at a house and so we switched our plan to go up the short walk to Bridal Veil. I had to work hard to convince Richard to climb straight up the waterfall with me, but when I finally did, it was worth it! I wish we would have had more time to hike, but it was a beautiful waterfall and it was fun to be with Richard. The best news of the day was when we finally signed the contract to an apartment just four houses down the street from where we are now. We finished off the day with a great BBQ at Richard's dad's house with the family complete with water balloon volleyball and fireworks in the driveway. The kids had a lot of fun playing the kiddy pool and running around with squirt guns, especially when they would hit one of us that didn't want to get soaked! All in all, it was a very good holiday.
