Kaylee got her patriarchal blessing the first Sunday in September. It was a really special experience to hear Heavenly Father's words for her. She has an extra sweet Spirit and seems to always be trying hard to do what is right, even when it's hard. I can't wait to see what this girl does!
It was also very exciting that Kaylee made student council! This is not done by student vote here, they have to fill out a big application and interview with the teachers who are over it. Freshman year they have quite a few kids who do the council as they gain experience. They meet once a week before school and plan fundraisers and school events, as well as helping with events like bake sales during lunch.
Kaylee also went to her first high school dance! Dances are so different out here and a lot of people just go with groups of friends. Kaylee went with 2 girls from our ward and 2 other girls she knows from school. Not all of them knew each other so it was a little awkward taking pictures but then they went out to dinner and were all laughing and having a blast by the time they got to the dance. It's weird to think that Kaylee is old enough to do this kind of stuff!
We didn't have a ton going on in September outside of the kid's activities. Brooklyn was doing gymnastics and piano, and Kaylee is doing cross country. Richard also took on an extra class this semester so we are all just busy busy!
