July 2024

The Crossley's came out to look at houses and we got to spend most of the day with them on the 4th. We went to the parade in the morning but didn't do a whole lot to celebrate in the afternoon. The kids did do a few water balloons but nothing like the war we had the year before. That night, we found a new spot to go see fireworks and it was the perfect spot!

We also went out to eat for Jared's birthday. It was fun to have them here and get excited for them to move back!!

We went and explored a little bit of a new metro park near us. The metro parks here are SO pretty and I love that they have so many trails to explore and places for kids.

Kaylee and McKenna went to girl's camp. They went to a new camp this year that was wheelchair accessible and I think all of the kids liked it so much better. It helps that the cabins had A/C units in them! But overall it was a much nicer camp and they had a blast. I'm glad this is something they love so much.

While sisters were gone, we painted Brooklyn's room. She wanted it to be Harry Potter themed and since she is a Ravenclaw, we painted most of her room gray with a dark blue accent wall. We also put up a big shelf that has a small portion of the Harry Potter things we have up on it and will finish the rest of the decorations soon. She loves her new room!

Richard decided to go to the State Fair. Kaylee and I had zero interest in going so we stayed home and watched a chick flick while Richard took Brooklyn and McKenna. However, we saw that Lauren Daigle was coming to the fair and they still had tickets available so a few days later, Kaylee and I went a little early and walked around the fair and then went to the concert. It was so much fun to be there with Kaylee and the concert was amazing. I love Lauren's voice but she blew me away live! She sounded incredible and it was a great experience for Kaylee's first concert.
