Cincinnati

I am not a very spontaneous person. But as Richard and I were talking about what we wanted to do on his week off I randomly said, I think we should go to Cincinnati.  Richard immediately jumped on it before I could change my mind and found a hotel and some fun stuff for us to do.  Of course the next morning I woke up freaking out because I hate traveling with kids and I remembered our trip to Cleveland last year....

But it was too late to turn back and I'm SO glad because it ended up being a blast!!  We were only there for two days but we had fun every single minute and I would go back anytime. Cincinnati was a beautiful city and I even told Richard, if traveling were always this easy, I would travel all the time! (But don't remind him that I said that, ok?)

Kaylee was even kind enough to take some pictures of our two bedroom suite just so you all could see how nice it was.
See doesn't it look nice?  I'm pretty sure it was the same size as our last apartment in Provo :)

We didn't get any good pictures of us playing at Fountain Square, but this was honestly my favorite part of the trip.  We were just relaxing and having fun as a family- doesn't get better than that!!!
Combine that with the Children's Museum,

Newport Aquarium,

a splash pad,

the Red's stadium,

Jungle Jim's,
(somehow this was the only picture we took there...)

and lots and lots of walking around enjoying the sites and you have an almost perfect vacation!
It was just what we needed after a long hard four months!

Glad you enjoyed your trip so much. It gives you hope that you can actually enjoy traveling with little ones. It does really look like a beautiful city.

What is that grass maze place? I love that picture.

Ju- it's a labyrinth they have pretty close to the splash pad. The grass is supposed to get a lot taller so you actually have to stay on the sidewalk to get through it. Pretty cool but I was sad the grass wasn't tall enough yet!

When I saw a picture of the labyrinth, I burst out laughing. First, because I thought you were in a "real" labyrinth and not a sidewalk with tufts of grass on the side... ha ha ha ha ha... and second, cause I was thinking of the "bog." :) :)

So glad you were able to have such a nice relaxing, enjoyable vacation. Way to be spontaneous. I have a hard time following through with things I would like to do because of all the factors involved, time, money, travel. So I know it is hard to act on your ideas that you get.
