For FHE tonight we decided to take my sister's advice to heart and start our own "garden". I say "garden" because all we're really doing is planting one pepper plant seed in our little apartment. Baby steps though, right? Anyway, we are starting it in a paper cup and so we needed some dirt to fill our cup. We decided to walk down to BYU and steal some dirt from their beautiful flower gardens. I think we were both feeling slightly guilty over "stealing" something that wasn't ours and made jokes about getting caught by the BYU police and having to explain where the dirt came from. However, on our walk home, a random black cat decided to follow us ALL the way home. Do you think that's a bad omen for our questionable deed?!

We DID it!
It was official before, but now it really FEELS official. Richard and I spent the last two days going to graduation ceremonies, taking lots of pictures, getting phone calls and visits from family, eating out, and just plain CELEBRATING! Thanks for all of the cards, phone calls, trips to Provo, and all around support from everyone!

You've Got Mail
Isn't it funny how great it feels to get mail?! You could be having the worst day ever but when you come home and open that mailbox and see a piece of mail in there (and I mean GOOD mail, not junk mail or bills or anything) and all of the sudden you can be happy again! In fact, Richard makes fun of me because I check the mailbox EVERY time we come home from somewhere. Even if we already got mail and even if it's on Sunday. I have to check just in case there is a piece of mail I missed! Today I had a huge headache coming home from work and I checked the mail half-heartedly. And just to brighten up my day I had FOUR good pieces of mail! Ahh- life is good again :D
Viva Espana
Date night with Grandma this year was super fun! We took my Grandma to see Viva Espana at BYU. The dance company there is apparently the national champs and they were amazing! The theme was Viva Espana so we figured it would be all Spanish music and dancing. We were surprised to learn that only 3 actually had anything to do with Spanish music... but the rest of the dancing was incredible anyway! Thanks for going with us Grandma, we had a blast!

Poor Students or Cheapskates?
Our graduation is coming up and people kept asking us when and where it is. Since we can't afford the real announcements, we decided to make our own. We figured if we kept it simple and printed it at Kinko's it would be a little more than $10. So we made up a good design and took it over to Kinko's to make copies. The lady helping us rang it up and told Richard the total was $22.50. Richard's jaw dropped and he looked over at me in shock. I had to reassure him that it was ok and we got them printed. After we printed and cut them all to the right size, we realized we left off some important information, like what we graduated in! Oh well, it's too late now and we wouldn't want to waste that very important $20. It is pretty funny that we freaked out over paying $20! We must be cheaper than we thought :) Keep in mind that if you didn't get an invitation, we'd still love you to come, we're just too cheap to print out any more! Ha ha They're both on April 24th and Richard walks at 8 am in the Marriott Center and I will walk at 2 pm in the Ballroom of the Wilk. We'd love to see anyone there who can make it!
