January was pretty uneventful, as January usually is. We spend a lot of time at the libraries here, which is good because so many to choose from and they are all so fun!
McKenna is so good at playing with Brooklyn, whether Brooklyn wants it or not :) We've had to get a little creative in the ways they can play together that make both girls happy!
McKenna also started a little gymnastics class this year and it has been amazing watching her go from being so shy and nervous about trying anything without the teacher to doing almost everything on her own. I love watching her blossom and grow.
Richard was asked to help out in Primary by pretending to be Nephi coming through a time machine to come teach the kids. It was really cute to see how proud Kaylee and McKenna were when they kept telling all their friends that Nephi was really their daddy!
Brooklyn is growing so fast. She loves riding her little airplane and luckily her sisters usually push her around and save my back! She is also getting really good at standing up and I don't think it will be long before she walks!
I love McKenna's spunky personality. She loves posing for pictures and can hardly stand to take a normal smiling one. After she got ready she told me "Mom I dressed myself fancy today!"
We went out to the river to see if we could walk on the ice but since it wasn't frozen enough we just threw rocks in and enjoyed being out in the good weather. We've had a pretty decent winter this year! Thank goodness, because the last two were too much for me!
Poor Brooklyn keeps getting banged up since she's still a little unsteady on her feet. Twice in one day she fell hard on smacked her face and ended up with a fat lip on the top and bottom and was bleeding both times! This girl is tough though, she rarely cries when she gets hurt or falls down. Now THAT she got from me :)
