Kaylee was determined to be Izzy for Halloween this year (from the show Jake and the Neverland Pirates). I convinced her instead to be a pirate princess since it was way cooler! And...also because Izzy becomes a pirate princess in one of the episodes :) She was loving it and I thought she looked adorable
McKenna was our sweet little ladybug and loved her wings but, as expected, the antennas didn't last very long.
We got a lot of use out of these costumes too! The Thurs before Halloween we went on a Halloween scavenger hunt at Giant Eagle, on Friday we had our ward trunk-or-treat,
and then on Saturday we went to Boo at the Zoo! For some reason we didn't go to this event last year so it was really fun. Besides all the candy you get, they had a hay maze, a kid friendly haunted house, and at different times throughout the day they give giant pumpkins to the animals and you can watch them destroy the pumpkins.
AND the day before Halloween Kaylee had her preschool party! We had so many events and got so much candy that I was lame and didn't even buy any, I just handed out what they had already received! Ha ha. But don't worry, they got a TON of candy to make up for it. It was raining here again during trick-or-treat so every house we went to they were handing out huge handfuls of candy because they hadn't seen many people!
I told McKenna to lay down next to her candy and this is what happened :)
We had such a good Halloween and the girls definitely got the Halloween blues after, hoping there was another party to get dressed up for!! Hope your Halloween was as fun as ours!
